Default Need Help With Skills/Attributes for E/Mo

Well I just started this game after a long WOW addiction and I'm very excited about it. I need help with where to put my skill points. I have the Prophecies portion of the game so I know that limits some of the abilities and, thus, where I should put some of my points. I don't plan on doing any pvp. I'm mostly going to be doing solo pve due to time constraints irl, so any help would be appreciated to help me be successful at this game.

This belongs in the elementalist section, for starters.

By solo, do you mean solo farming? How far along are you? What elites do you have?

Well, Eles usually invest in one Elemental line, then Energy storage. Fire produces the most damage in general and the game is geared to move you that direction in Proph. Pick up Fire Attunement as soon as you can and your energy should be fine. You can do a two-way elemental split, but dont waste points on that until you have all 200 skill points. Aura of Restoration is fine for self-healing in PvE, so no reason to go /mo secondary until you are familiar with the game. /Mo's ALWAYS should bring rez. You lose a skill slot, but that's the way it is.

They don't really "lose" a skill slot, since every other person brings a ressig.

Aura of Restoration is horrible, by the way.

Not in Elona

It's saved my energy management countless times.

Aura is close to unplayable only if you have Nightfall. If you don't have Nightfall, it's a weak, but effective cover enchantment.

Until you learn the game a bit better, I'd recommend putting your points in Fire and using different Fire skills to figure out what you like. You can't make a really good damage ele using just Prophecies, just do the best you can with what's available. PvE is easy enough that you don't need a perfect build to enjoy the game.

Peace,
-CxE
